She was a member of The Church of The Living God, C.W.F.F. for over 30 years. She served under the pastoral ship of Pastor Barbara A. Dillard. This woman of God served in several areas of the church, choir president, license missionary, Sunday school superintendent, financial secretary and also served on the minister’s board. She was ordained as an Elder in June, 2000. She received her Associate Degree in the field of Mental Health Technology and her Bachelor Degree in Psychology from Ursuline College in Pepper Pike, Ohio. She attended Temple Baptist College and Seminary in the Master of Divinity Program under the leadership of Doctor Sterling Glover. She also served as the Dean of Women at Temple Baptist College for one year before she relocated to Columbus, Ohio. Pastor Kelly served in women’s ministry for more than 20 years as the Women’s Work President in local temple. She served as the District Women’s Work for 8 years and 8 years on the National Women’s Work Board. She is presently the National Women’s Advisor of Kingdom Builders International Church and Ministries. Pastor Kelly has a passion to empower women to become all that they were created to be. She received a vision from the Lord to plant a church in Columbus. She did not have an "indicator" but she had a " WORD "that would reach out to the Kingdom of God. After much prayer and discussion with her husband, David, Higher Ground Family Worship Center was charter in 2002, after which the family relocated. Pastor has been married to her husband for 35 years. They both have a passion for God's people and work together with the vision of the church doing "Kingdom" work. Pastor Kelly and Brother David Kelly are the proud parents of two beautiful and spirit filled daughters and five grandchildren.Pastor Kelly's favorite scripture is Proverb 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding but in all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. Her favorite words are " To God Be The Glory"
