We are a family oriented church that believes in the word of God as a direct guide to Christian living. Our Mission Statement...The mission statement of Higher Ground Family Worship Center is to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a world that has lost focus on the family structure and righteous living. This will be accomplished through the teaching and preaching of the Word of God. Our mission is to educate;feed the hungry; clothe the naked; heal the wounded both emotionally and mentally through our outreach ministries. To make disciples of all mankind; to help men and women develop a deeper, stronger spiritual intimate relationship with Christ through worship.Our Vision...The vision of Higher Ground Family Worship Center is that individuals as well as families will live undefeated, uncompromised, holy and righteous lives for Christ through empowerment and direction of this ministry. We envision that these individuals and families will adopt a more enriched and prospeth lifestyle with Christian morals and values. We also envision that individuals and families will become more self sufficient in their living and they will become a more active member of their community as well as in their own families, giving back to the community biblical principals. Foundational Scripture: John 4:23-241. We believe in One True and Living God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth and the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. ( Genesis 1:1/ John 1:3 )2. We believe there are three persons in the Godhead; namely the Father, The Son and the Holy Spirit.3.We believe that Jesus Christ is the Redeemer of mankind. ( Psalm 14:9 )4.We believe that Jesus died, was buried, arose and ascended into heaven.5.We believe Jesus Christ to be the door to Eternal Life and we are to enter into the City through and by Jesus Christ.6.We believe that the Holy Bible is the book which points out the Way of Eternal Life through obedience.7.We believe if any attempt is made to enter the fold of God without following Christ's instructions, we make a complete failure and cometh before the Mighty One as a thief and a robber. ( John 10:10 )8.We believe that to be save we must live by every word, pertaining to salvation that proceeded out of the mouth of God. 9.We believe in all of the gifts of the Spirit. They shall be in operation in the church decently and in order.10.We believe to worship Christ; we must worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.11.We believe the scripture is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction and instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.12. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. ( John 4: 23-24 )
